Quote:As advised following the UPS upgrade works that were carried out and conpleted on Friday 18th May 2012 for the installation of the fourth UPS unit. During installation an issue was detected on the new unit that would require a second engineer visit from the UPS manufacturer to upgrade the units' firmware and replace some control parts; the unit was then left in bypass mode so to not form part of the UPS system or carry any critical load.

The engineer has now been booked and will be onsite on Wednesday 23rd May 2012 between 1pm and 5pm to perform the remedial works required.

The works only require the new UPS 4 unit to be placed into bypass mode and all datafloor power will remain protected by the remaining three units in the UPS system.

Due to the continued UPS power protection and the work only taking place on an individual UPS unit the risk for these works has been classified as 'Low'.
