[Sirius2] Access layer switch upgrade to new hardware 04/04/2012 19:00:00 to 23:59:00
Please be aware of the following maintenance that our provider will be performing.

Window Commences: Wednesday 4th April 19:00:00
Window Concludes: Wednesday 4th April 23:59:00

Reason for Maintenance:
Our provider will be proactively upgrading the access layer hardware
which provides connectivity to our rack in the Byfleet Data Centre.

The upgrades will allow them to take advantage of new feature sets
that are not supported on the current Access layer switches.

To minimise downtime they have already configured the replacements
switches so the only downtime that will be experienced is when the
cables are moved from the current switches to the new stacks.

Outage:
Connectivity to the rack will be affected with a 5-10 minutes outage

Clients Affected:
All clients using the Sirius 2 Data Centre will be affected

Further Information:
We will update our twitter page and also our forum once the work has been completed,
please check these for further updates.

Please let us know if you have any questions

Kind Regards,
Martin Woodhouse

This maintenance was completed successfully.

IPv4 returned after a short delay as expected, but some of the IPv6 addresses didn't return immediately,
most of these were back within the hour but a few were offline for a while longer,
but still within the maintenance time period.

Please open a ticket if you have any questions.

Kind Regards,
